Heyas,
I'm getting prompts to install "Microsoft Office XP Pro with Frontpage" when windows starts, and when I try and launch Word, I can click cancel and it will work as normal, but this should'nt be happening.. also whenever I try and install something from my CD drive (games, software etc) it prompts me to install my DVD software (Power DVD)
I've no idea where to start on sorting this out, can anyone help please?

Well, if i were you id sort out your CD/DVD drive first. Um, if indeed you have the software it shouldnt be to much of a problem to uninstall it and then delete the folder left behind. Then reinstall it. You can also right click on my computer-properties-hardware-device manager and look for your cd/dvd drive, maybe see if there is a problem with it in there. (an ! mark will show up next to it if you have any probs with it.)
Next with office, again, try reinstalling it. Of course youll need the disc to do so.
Sorry i couldnt be of more help,
Daniel

Thanks!
I've sorted it out now.. ah, bit of a knee jerk reaction here.. tried the simplest solution first, dug out the CD and stuck it when the system was booting up, it did some spinning and disk crunching and I've not had the problem since, I imagine it'll be the same with Power DVD, when Novatech send it to me(master copy did'nt come with the PC)
