When capturing vid from my Video camera is it best to chose MPEG-2 or AVI. The video will be burnt to DVD, 4.7Gb.
Have a nice weekend&Merry Christmas.

DVD uses mpeg so if you pick avi it will need be converted before burning, which will take longer.

MPEG-2 Files have the least compression and are best to be burnt to DVD. However AVI files are more portable and can be considerably smaller without comprimising quality.

For what you are doing, i would say MPG-2

Thanks rhawk. That could explain why it takes about 2& half hours to complete a DVD video. The next time i burn a Video to DVD ill leave it a Mpeg. It Should shorten the time, and is good news.
I cant wait to try it.
