mpeg encoding

i have encoded a movie which used codec xvid, and mpeg layer 3 audio codec ( used gspot to get info)when i encoded the movie to vcd format (NTSC) there is no sound i used Tmpengc to encode it.. what could be wrong??

You're not alone. TMPEGenc is a great program but I have seen others complain about no audio or poor audio when using TMPEGenc to encode for VCD/SVCD.

Try using Nero for creating the VCD. I've done a couple of XVID to VCD with Nero and never had an issue.

have a look at http://www.dvdrhelp.com/

You will find exactly how to code an avi xvid/divx to mpeg 1 or 2 on there and create all the (S)VCD's till your hearts content.

And why didn't you just say that you downloaded and xvid movie and were wanting to convert it to SVCD so as you could watch it on your home DVD player, we all know what your up too!!!! ;)
