Recently someone sent me a link to a MP3 file, but I never could get it to work. I've had this happen a few times in the past but never found a reason why. When I clicked the link an IE window opened, in the bottom left corner were the various controls, but most of the window was black with the Windows Media emblem in the middle and that's all that happened. I even went into My Computer and changed the program I have selected to play MP3s from Real Player to Media Player but that didn't work either. If you have some suggestions I'd be glad to hear them.
Open Media Player, go to Tools - Options - File types - put a check in the files of choice (Mp3), or simply click the "Select All" option.

Ian I tried that suggestion and I got the same screen that I first described.
LL After checking the File Types there were only two that weren't checked, but I click Select All and maybe that did the trick because I'm now able to use the link, thanks.
