Hey again all,

This time i have a rather anoying problem. No matter what i seem to do, the icon for MP3 files seems to be the un-recognised windows file icon. Now, ive tried a number of methods to rectify this including re-itterating the fact the MP3's ought to open in Winamp, and even going to folder options/file types and adjusting it that way.

It seems that after i installed the Nero 7 demo, all my associations accidentaly changed to that, being the less than useful copy of nero that it is, i uninstalled and all my avi's, mp3's, mp4's divX's etc turned to the un-recognised icon.

Any ideas?

Regards
Daniel.

Uninstall Nero since it did this to your system it might undo the changes that it did. You might want to try I-Tunes, they have a great program for mp3's.

Try going to Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types > Scroll down list until you find the MP3 file type, click advanced, then change icon. If this doesn't work, try deleting the MP3 file type (Don't worry this won't do any harm) and then run winamp again and tell it what file types to own.
