moving xp to a new pc

I want to take my current hard drive with xp pro and move it to a differant pc. How can I go about this correctly, couldn't find anything from microsoft knowledge base. I tried this once before, and it would not fully load
You will not beable to because Microsoft has created Product Activation for WindowsXP and will only allow you to have it installed on ONE computer.

After you have moved the hard drive, boot with your XP cd and go to the repair console. Type in FIXBOOT (enter) and then FIXMBR (enter). You may have to call Microsoft for a new activation number ( no big deal ), but it will work.
