Hey

i was just wondering, how can i move my temp folder to another location? i made an extra partition of 2gb for my page file, initial size 100mb but windows never seems to use it much so i was hoping i can move my TEMP folder to that partition aswell.

I have got a RAM DRIVE installed, would it be better if i moved my temp folder there? that way each time i rebooted, it would clear it automatically, also ram drive is a lot faster as its using part of memory instead of hard drive! I'm currently using the RAM drive for my temporary internet folder!

Any help greatly appreciated

If you are talking about the temp internet files, Create a folder on the drive and in the IE window go tools, internet options, general, settings, move folder.

Please post back within 24 hours or I will delete the post from my follow up list. Thanks. It would be a courtesy if you would post back and let us know if the fix worked or not.

And if you're talking about the system temp folder, right-click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced tab > Environment variables. Highlight the "temp" variable, click Edit, and enter the new location in the Variable Value field.
