Backup Outlook's PST files, here's a free tool from Microsoft called pfbackup.exe. Microsoft says the tool will work with Outlook 2000, 2002 and 2003.

Make sure Outlook is not running, locate your .pst file in old machine, it may well be too large for a floppy so a flash drive would probably be more appropriate, copy it and if you have a Personal address Book locate and copy the .pab file also. You can place the files anywhere you wish on the new machine and reconfigure Outlook to point to them. I keep mine in a Data\mail directory so I can back them up easily to a flash drive every weekend. After your new machine is up and running just delete your old ones plus any other data files,on the old machine, run defrag and job done.

In Outlook click File, Data File Management. In the new window, highlight one of data files in the list and click Open Folder. The pst files will be displayed. Copy these files onto a floppy/CD.
Now on your laptop go through a similar procedure with Outlook and paste the files into that folder. You will be asked whether you want to replace the existing files in the laptop with the ones from the computer. If you currently have some emails on the laptop then they will be deleted so you might need to print them beforehand.
