Dear group:
This is the strangest think I have ever seen Windows do.
I have a temp folder on my desktop where I keep recently downloaded files. When I open the folder and then move the mouse around in the folder I get the following error.
"explorer.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x01620bd8" referneced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be written."I clicked "OK" to terminate the program.
So far here is what I have done.
1) I ran Registry Mechanic. Did not fix the problem
2) I scaned the folder for viruses. Found no viruses.
3) I created a new folder. I opened the tem folder and clicked "ctrl a" to select all because if I move the mouse into this folder it causes the Application Error.
4) I open the new folder and move the mouse pointer around in the new folder and I get the same Application Error.
I have not installed any new software or put any new files in the folder.
I have never seen this happen.
Any thoughts?
Thanks a million!
wayne
