Please help- How do i go about transferring video footage from an 'older'(analog?)video camera on to my PC?? I like the look of XP Movie-Maker & would like to give it a whirl & burn some family footage on to CD. Camera: Hitachi E340E 8mm vidcam/recorder approx 4yrs old mislaid remote control but has all cables. Is working! PC: P111 550 WXPPRO + XPOffice 20gig HDD 200meg ram NVidia TNT Hercules Gamesurround MUSE XL 52X LG CDR LG DVD CDRW. Are 'firewire' cards only for Digital cameras (or)do i need something else? The only output/inputs at the back of my CPU belong to the soundcard & being used for my speakers etc. Please help if you can. Ta. MMM.
