movie maker file convert

Microsoft offers another free program called Media Encoder. It will convert formats. A lot of modern dvd/cd players are inculding the wma format as one they will play. Check your player before you convert that file. BUT most important is backing up the wma file in a safe place. If you go ahead and convert the file should something go wrong you have a backup copy.

If I'm not mistaken MovieMaker2 will do that and it's available from MS free.
Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!
