I got new 320GB HD to free up space on my Local Drive. But the problem is Windows Xp won't copy or move large files to the spare HD. Comes up with error not enough disk space. but i have 238GB spare the files are only 4Gb and 6Gb.

Why is this happening, is there a work around ?

My guess: Your second HDD is formatted with FAT32, and not NTFS.

In other words, FAT32 brain is so small it can only read files up to nearly 4 gigabyte (GB), whereas in NTFS the maximum size file that can be handled is 16 EiB (EiB = exbibyte; a contraction of exa binary byte, and equaling 1152921504606846976 bytes).
