Hi, My user profile was on a domain for a company that is out of business. I attempted to move the user to WORKGROUP, which resulted in not being able to login. I am now logged in as the local administrator, and would like to move the user profile to WORKGOUP. However, the user profile does not show up in Manage Computer -> Local Users and Groups -> Users. Is there any way to get to the old profile?

There is no way I know of you can move a User profile in XP - because of built into XP security defaults, probably the only thing you can do is make a new one.

Assuming you've already removed the Domain authentication and set the computer to a Workgroup instead... Create a new user account and login as that user. Then log out. Log back in with the Local Administrator account, and you can then copy the locally stored domain profile to the new user's profile.
Life's more painless for the brainless.
