mouse troubles

Hello, I am kinda new to this site and kinda new to any computer problem, so i hope you guys find it worthwhile to help a little belgian kid with his mouse troubles. I recently bought an optical mouse because that was the only solution i had left. So i put it into my usb port and everything seemed to work just fine. Until recently. My mouse just seemed to work in the opposite direction. When i wantend him to go to the right, he went to the left of the screen. And so on. So i just hold it upside down and do everything the other way around, but that's kind of iritating. So i hope you guys could help me out. There might be an easy solution, but like I said: I am not that good with computer stuff.
