My mouse is giving me major problems. The mouse cursor periodically locks up for a second (sometimes 2 or 3) for no apparent reason. Sometimes after the cursor frees up again it will right click by itself and on occasion i will hear a beep from my computer (the same beep you get when you mash keys on the keyboard). I'm yet to recognize what exactly triggers the problem, but I do know that it occurs no matter what i have running, it even happens on the windows login screen, BEFORE anything is loaded. I haven't purchased a new mouse or any other new hardware, and to my knowladge, i haven't modified any driver information. Please help.

Have you recently installed another piece of hardware or software?

Next, check for a sticky button on the mouse. Clean out the rollers and that little scrolling ball inside the mouse. Lint and other debris make for some interesting and unpredictable pointer movements.

Finally, reinstall-update your mouse software, reboot and see what happens.

Thnx for the reply.
Anyway.
I've tried reinstalling the drivers, but there was no change. Also the mouse is very clean, that was the first thing I checked.

I HAVE, recently installed some new software, these titles include Microsoft Visual Studio 6 and Microsoft Java Machine.
