I've just noticed in the last couple days that when I move my mouse to the upper right corner of the screen to close out a window or applications that the pointer seems to keep moving past the edge of the screen. I tried moving the mouse about a foot to the right and then back again to see if the pointer was actually traveling that distance beyond the screen (if there was screen area for it to travel on) and sure enough, it took the entire foot of travel back to the left for the pointer to show up again on the right-hand edge of my screen. I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling my drivers for the mouse. I'm using a Microsoft Optical Wheel Mouse with a USB connection. This only happens on the right side of the screen. On the left, the pointer stops at the side of the screen no matter how far I move my mouse...just like it should. Could this have something to do with screen resolution or DPI setting? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've seen similar behavior like this on a system that had an integrated video card + a PCI video card.

Windows was detecting that 2 monitors were being used so it had extended the desktop area over onto a second monitor space.

You might just look around in your display options and see if a second monitor is being detected. You might be able to disable it or at least turn off the option to extend the desktop onto the second monitor.

Thanks...that took care of the problem. I just deselected the box asking if I wanted to extend my desktop to the second monitor. Take care.
