Optical mice work fine on almost any surface except mirrors.

Hi,
What are you using your mouse for that it needs to be so accurite, Gaming??
Opps just read the message at the bottom of ya post "ready steady Doom"...im guing its gaming..
Ive started getting into games recently And I only use optical mouses (mice)..lol,But i rarly use a soft "normal" mouse pad, I tend to use the desk top or table depending on where i am (laptop at work on lunch room table ect,) and both have a smooth slipery lamanex top...it works gr8 for me...
Own personal preference I supose....
I Have heard of "precision" mouse pads though and some gamers talk of certain brand and models of mice, but I guess it depends on how "hard core" you are too....

A plain black surface works the best. Make it smooth and as dark as you can.
