|epit, SWAG, a couple of thoughts spring to mind. First is buffering. If you have too many things running in the background, it can take a minute for your machine to 'catch up' resulting in suspended mouse movement, take a look at what you have running and see if you can edit, but it won't 'jump'. If it's doing that, your problem sounds more like a worm/trojan. There's one around specifically aimed at the mouse. Maybe? |
Be aware that a virus and a worm/trojan are similar, but not the same. Many AVs can't handle one. Some can't even detect one. Make sure you scan with the right critter.
