mouse freezes up

August 22, 2009 at 10:36:58
Specs: Windows XP
I have Windows XP with Serv Pack 3 on a Dell Pentium 3 730 Mhz computer. It has 384 Mb of RAM. I use the AT&T Yahoo toolbar. I recently added some space for memory on my computer (now have 127Gb of space) thinking it would speed up my computer. Now my mouse freezes up for about 3-4secs when if I move too fast across the screen. Do I need a registry cleaner for my system to solve this problem and if so is there a truly 'Free' one out there that's recommended. Also, if that's not the problem can anyone tell what it is?

By holding alt-ctrl-del, the task being performed shows and sometimes the mouse unfreezes but it usually doesn't. I have to restart my computer most of the time.
