recent upgrade to XP, mouse software no longer compatible, manufacturer not known, no sign in product specs or install DIR, As mouse still works as a mouse without auto jump, hyper scroll, auto back etc, but with microsofts own driver, will other updated XP software work? as mouse software can't be too different.

I upgraded to XP from 98 and was using a 'cheap' optical dual wheel mouse made by GE. The software was 'Wheelworks'.

The software caused some 'strange' bugs. Also it caused crashes when trying to switch users. Turns out that 'most' of the features still work with native drivers from XP.

Do some searching for model and software support .. you may have to REALLY look ..

good luck
