Mouse Control please

Don't know computer "old School hints" and mouse jumps erratically. Now struggling on family W 2000 for your response(s). Seems like more reports of casualty than causality. Do we get ANSWERS here?

If your problem is "mouse jumps erratically". Try another mouse If the mouse has batteries, try replacing them.
