Mouse click response delay

There is an approximately 1/2 second delay between when I click a mouse button and when the appropiate action actually ocurs. I am using a Kensington "Optical Elite" USB mouse with Mouseworks 6.20 software. This delay is really annoying in games.

Check your mouse settings in the control panel.

Didn't see anything relevant there.

The Mouseworks software has its own config thingy. Nothing there deals with response times or whatever.

If it's in a game, check the options ingame. Look for something like mouse sensitivity.

What I did to get rid of the click delay, was to uninstall the Mouseworks software. And let windows use its default drivers. Now you won’t be able to configure any of the other buttons. But the main buttons and scroll wheel work. Kensington is at lease aware of the problem, or now they are. I’ve had several emails with them on this. If I was you I’d email them also. The more people they here from the faster the problem will be fixed.
