Check the device manager to see if they have been disabled as well....
Also...the computer checks for input devices installed on the computer...it will only allow 1 keyboard and 1 mouse so if you have these connected through the usb controler then it will not allow for it to be used as well from the PC2 connection(PCI controller)...check the BIOS and make sure that the keyboard is set to PCI and not USB.
One last thing....PS2 connected devices are not hot swappable and will become deffective if connected/disconnected while the computer is on....for the devices to work...the keyboard and mouse must be connected (firmly inserted) before the computer is turned on!
