Mouse acceleration in Quake2

I've read some posts about the acceleration problem in CS.. but I couldn't find working way to fix this problem in Quake2. I'm using MS Explorer and the newest intellipoint software.

It is totally impossible to play with this stupid mouse acceleration, so could someone please explain me how to take it off, thanks.

Here is how I solved it.
Start regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Control Panel > Mouse
Change MouseThreshold1 and MouseThreshold2 to 100000 or something like that.

I have the same f---ing problem and I am very tired of it. Tried to remove it for like days now. And it is only in q2 this appears, in other games it is fine. Haven't fixed for CS yet thou.. Seems like its a bug with the q2 and q1 engine cause with q3 and all the other games its fine. Please let me know if you get to solve this problem and post it here..

I too find this problem EXTREMELY annoying. I also have a problem in quake2 with my crosshair not showing up, very odd. If anyone has a fix or info please give me an e-mail. I would greatly appreciate it.

the problem isn't in q1 and q2, because the reason it works in q3 is that quake3 works because it uses directinput for input. if you start q1 with the line -dinput q1 works fine too. so it's something with windows and games. take a look at this thread, please register and join the discussion, remember to subscribe to the thread:
