Hi everybody,
I installed Windows XP Pro and my SM56 internal modem does not work. It uses a Motorola chipset, so I went to Motorola's website to download the driver and they suggest that I use Windows 2000 driver, but my Windows XP reboots before the driver installation is completed. If anyone knows how I could work around this problem, I would appreciate the help. Thank you

I have the same Modem and I had no problem. I just installed the drivers that came with the CD.

dear sir
i have installed window xp but window can not recongnize our modem but window (me) find the modem. i think this is for my old driver for this modem please advice.
note: my driver cd have window 2000 and window 98 driver for motorola

I need a Motorola SM56k driver for win xp Why the Microsoft can fixed this big issue because. This is bad for microsoft bec. we have a lot of people want to buy win xp but in this problem i lost my appetite to buy microsoft windows xp , eventhough that many people say win xp is good and easy to use.pls. send this letter to the microsoft to avoid bad experience to the people. Any way this is bad for microsoft. So i think microsoft can fixed this problem or do some necessary Action in this problem.
