Guys, thy this one . IT WORKS......

my PC is: PIII, 512MBSDRAM, Soundblaster 5.1 WINXP PROFESSIONAL

a. download the drivers v.83.18 for W2k

b. remove from system properties any previus modem installed and from the registry too.

c. update the driver. Ignore the digitally signed notice.
Afterwards goto to
windows\motorola\ and run all executeble files and the registry file. IMPORTANT!!!!

d. reboot the machine

e. the modem should work just fine.

mine does at full speed and even the compress option is enabled in the dial-up properties.

i have a modem(( smk56 pci speakerphone . v90 internal drive))and i want to use winxp . is it okay with that modem,in instaling that drive and using net?plz email me

i have upgraded to win xp from win 98
and am able to connect to internet successfully but my machine shows scanning each time i start it.could u please suggest is it because of the modem driver.
during i installed the win 2000 compatible driver.

sir,
my modem model is Motorola SM56_PCI Speakerphone modem. i have upgraded my system to windowsXP but i am not able to install my modem. it seems to me that my modem is not campatible with windowsXP operating system. please suggest me how to upgrade my modem driver.
