Specs: Win/XP, Pent. II/600

would like to know if I can install a Pent. III 600 mhz Clock into my pent. II 300 mhz motherboard, and were can I get a Diagram & spects for motherboards? I've been surfing the net for a week now with no such luck.

Many thanks to anyone who can help me out.

download SIW and see exactly what mobo you have installed...then run a search for that model board and you will find all the info that you will need to make a rational decision on upgrading.

sorry didn't see the board model

the two chips use different sockets so the answer is no.

penII uses slot 1 socket.
penIII uses a socket 370
