Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, 3.33 core 2 duo
my motherboard is running hot .not the cpu just the board .the board is xfx nforce 790i ultra sli,what can make it do this

If the case is hot then everything in the case will be hot. Do you have a rear discharge case fan?

Also, cramming in too much hardware into a small case can cause heat issues.

yes i have a back fan an a side fan an a big cpu fan the board is staying at 119c

check wattage printed on on pwr supply, upgrade pwr supply to higher wattage esp if under 200w and esp if you have lots of
extra load (cd's etc.) i know this sounds lame, but all i can
think of. (might also be the case: current pwr supp is failing,
result in lower watts supplied to mbd.) If desktop, easiest option is to just try another ps. and see if problem persists.

Are you reading the temperatures directly from the BIOS, or from an add in program?
