Hi all,
I have replaced my old 2.8 Core 2 Duo 4M Cach processor with my new 3.0 Core 2 Duo 6M Cach, my motherboard has Intel X38 Express Chipset wich I have checke with its manual and Gigabyte's official website supports this processor and a very long list of all kind of new processors, but unfortunately when I have changed to the new processor! everytime I try to boot my computer I get the motherboard logo screen stuck and I can't even enter to BIOS, is this mean that the processor is faulty? because even the red light processor indicator is not flashing, your quick reply will be highly appreciated.

was there any beep error codes coming from the computer? It sounds like the CPU is not working but it could be from a number of incompatibilies.

No there was no beeb sounds, or error codes, only stuck and I couldn't even access the bios, but I took it to a service store and they tested it in a motherboard that less quality than mine and it worked with them but not in my PC, Any idea please?
