Comment:
I was downloading music from Morpheus on a regular basis with many including Norton anti-virus installed, and it infected my pc with a virus that started erasing files. I deleted it but I couldn't stop it. It erased the file for the sound of my pc. Thank God I wrote it down! Because then the file disappeared! Its called an Intel (r) aim external flat panel driver 0 but I can't find a download for it anywhere. Not even at Intel. I don't know what to do. Please Help somebody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

stay away from downloads that you do not recognise. and now i would suggest updating your virus deffinations and if that wont do the job, reformat!!!!!

flat panel should only refer to either a flat panel screen or flat panel speakers. if you have either of those search for that. you could also try the recovery program on your cd.

I disagree with "princecorum".
Even 'reformat', or re-partition might not work, unless you fdisk /mbr, after booting from an uninfected disk.
If you have your virus protection up-to-date, and check that your XP security level are ok, that should be enough. There is no need to be scared of everything you don't properly understand.
