are you downloading from the same person everytime, if so then they are cancelling your download, if this isn't the case, reinstalling Morpheus and use a new account.

good luck

Ive had a similar problem when running XP Beta. If the comp crashed ot would randomly delete certain downloads. VERY VERY annoying. This all seemed to be fixed in XP Pro off the shelf until the other day that it happened again. I suspect it has something to do with maybe XP doing a cleanup after a period of time for files not accessed recently like .dat files in morpheus. I really dont know on this one.....COMPLETELY in the dark on this one. If anyone can shed some light would be greatly appreciated. But the final release has seemed to have fixed this problem.

While you download from M O R PL IS the files are kept as .DAT files and when they are complete they are named to the file that you download. If someone cancels their upload the supernode kicks in and finds another copy for you to down!! If anything happens to your system like a crash or your modem becomes dead then you are screwed!!!
I was downing a DivX for 2 days from a slow upload. My task schedualer kicked in by running a defrag froze my PC and wham crashed the machine.....Oh well I will get that movie sooner or later!!
Good luck!!

Thats not correct frog.....ive had about 4 crashes in XP since i bought it on its release date. On every occassion ive been downloading from Morph......every single time ive booted back in and all the files have been fine. This only happened to me when i was using the beta release of XP. This SEEMS to be fixed in the final version although im not toally sure it is fixed though......

morpheus

I select a bunch of audio files, begin the download, anywhere from 30 min to 2hrs in, the connection shuts down, I cant get any link re-established, and everything I had gets cleaned out. the search and traffic buttons just go dead. the network connection is still shown as established, but nothing comes through. add to that, I have to reboot the machine to get a server connection.

I am running Win xp-pro w'zone alarm. this problem was occasional with the out of the box version, but started to be a steady thing after I downloaded the latest patches from ms, and the latest update from za. any ideas?
ps. my machine wouldnt accept the ms patch for ie6, I tried 4 or 5 times, no go, even with za shut down, I wonder if this is connected?

it has to be one of the patches, the most I can get is about 15 minutes of download, then I have to shut down morpheus and the server connection (which shows connected but isnt) and reboot to even get IE6 to work. does anyone know which patch to dump, or if it can even be done?
the system restore wont go back beyond the patch install.
yes I know nothing,
pls help

I have got the exact same problem... When I was running 98 SE, I used to recover the .dat file using norton, then copy it back into the morpheus directory... Then I renamed it to another .dat file (one that is currently downloading) and it would pick it up fine.. In XP, this dosnt work. Oh life, there is more to life than divX.
