If you can read some DVD media and not others or some CD media and not others then the problem may be a weak laser or a dirty laser lens. Lens cleaners are available.

If you can't open some disks but they are seen by the drive then you may need additional codecs.

Of course all this may be moot because I don't know what is really the problem because you didn't explain it.

Thnx for the reply
but the main problem is it doesn't read the burned DVD/CD.
It runs the original DVD but not the burned one

Same causes as I described. Try the lens cleaner. Was the self burner disk burned using the same drive as you are reading from? Have you verified the burn was good by viewing on another computer or at least a different drive?

What type of files are you trying to read. If an ISO was burned and doesn't work then either the original file was bad or the burn was performed wrong.
