Monitor,Mouse,Keyboard not working

Specs: Windows XP
Can someone please help me i was playing a game one day and a person on there said they would hack onto my computer so they did it froze my computer and was making a weird sound so i just turned off the computer and turned it back on and it seemed fine it sounded like it was loading and everything but my monitor would go on for a few sec and say its in power save mode and just go blank and my keyboard light did not go on and when i moved mouse it did not do anything so can someone please tell me whats wrong

azntaiboi, suspect he infected you with a Trojan which needs to be cleaned. See if you can get into safe mode and scan.
Be aware that a virus and a Trojan are similar, but not the same. Many times, an AV detects one it can't clean, other times, it gets missed entirely.
If you need to clean one, Superantispyware can do the job and you can get it free @:
http://www.superantispyware.com/
among other places. They have a Vista compatible version if needed.
If it turns out that you need to use it, be sure to update prior to running and disable 'restore' (restart after cleaning) so it doesn't get put back. They just released a new update recently and it changes all the time. Things are in a constant state of flux.
