Specs: Windows XP
Hi.. I am using p42.6 with 865g intel board. recently i bought acer P195HQ monitor which has a max resolution of 1366*768 but, unfortunately that resolution is not displayed in display properties of win xp.

Only the listed displays are being displayed..
800*600
1152*864
1280*600
1280*768
1280*960
1280*1024
1440*900 and so on..

The display which i required is 1366*768. which is not coming. I changed VGA drivers even then same problem. I connected the monitor to win7 computer then it is showing 1366*768 res also working fine. Help me to sort out this issue. Thanking you.

It has nothing to do with XP vs Win7, it has everything to do with your outdated "865g intel board". Onboard video doesn't get much worse than Intel extreme graphics so if that's what you're using, you should seriously consider adding an actual video card.

Other than that, make sure you've installed the latest Intel graphics drivers & the monitor driver. If that doesn't provide the resoltuion you need, invest in a card. You'll find the graphics driver link here:

Find the monitor driver at the Acer support site:
