Monitor problems w/ XP

The only thing that has changed on my WinXP pc is that I went from a Packard Bell 15inch monitor to a 17inch Nokia 447L monitor. Now when I leave my PC on for a couple hours+ then it locks up during the screen saver. I know I could shutoff the screensaver but I was just curious. I never had a single lock up with the other monitor. I have the newest video drivers. XP makes the monitor a default monitor. Would this make a difference?

No, I believe XP is making your monitor the "Default Monitor" because you didn't install the drivers that came with the monitor...unless it didn't come with any. If it DID come with some though, make sure you install them.

Monitor problem with XP!
Two weeks ago there were no problems running XP, but suddenly my monitor wont turn on during startup? I haven't installed any new drivers or anything. I will only come on after having restarted my pc two or three times - anyone got a clue? It would really help. My monitor is an old Goldstar Studioworks, but XP detects it - so?
