monitor problem

When running xp every 30 or so minuites my computer monitor flashes off. This is an old Hansol monitor with a DESIGNED FOR WINDOWS 95 sticker on it. When running 98 befour it had no problems. does anyone have any suggestions.
did you go to screensaver, settings, and check the power down settings? change to 'never' if you have not

Start->Control Panel->Appearance and Themes->Display->Settings->under Color quality, click the drop-down menu, select High(24bit) or True Color(32bit), etc...Hope this helps. Bye
