Purchased new printer and when I installed it the software required me to lower the screen display to 800 x 600. After completing this and rebooting there is no image on the screen??
Uhh, printers have nothing to do with screen resolutions. If you're using a lcd flat panel monitor, plug in a CRT and change it back.
Otherwise, hit the F8 key as if you were going to access safe mode, but choose "last known good configuration". That ought to switch it back. Or go into safe mode and change it back there.

I've never heard of a new printer requesting a lower screen display. I would suspect spy or adware or possibly a virus is causing your problem. I would follow the advice of response one and then check your PC. Good luck
