Monitor error message: over frequency

Specs: Windows XP
over frequency - 58.3 KHz x 72.4 Hz, i adjust it to 640 x 480 megapixel, when i opened my computer by safe mode i click the properties and go to display to adjust the monitor settings and adjust it to 16 bits in monitor setting and restart my computer, but still my computer doesn't work, it still gives me a message of over frequency 58.3 KHz x 72.4 Hz. huhuh pls. help

The monitor refresh rate is set higher than your monitor will support. Adjust to default or maybe 60 Hz.
