Specs: Windows XP pro, 3.59ghz/3.00g
I got to shut down my computer and it says windows is shutting down, The tower shuts off, the monitor shuts down but comes back on completely white. But the tower is still off, I have tried to shut down the monitor with the power button and the monitor stays white? Why? I have been having a little flickering going on a times.

halfpint, maybe yours is different than mine? FWIW, Windows seems to have been plagued with shutdown problems of one sort or another since day 1. I use a standalone shutdown proggie (for convenience) called 'Slawdog' (said to work on all versions). Get it free @:
among other places. Works good and I drag/dropped the icon into my quick launch so it'd be handy for use. On mine, I select the 'Slawdog' icon and turn the monitor 'off'. It shuts down completely. Maybe?
