my new hp vs19d flat screen started clinking off and on(black screen)after i downloaded the newest driver for my nvidia graphics card. i hooked up my old crt monitor to the computer and it does the same thing,i hooked the new monitor to my old computer and it works fine. so the problems not my monitor but my computer. i tryed resetting the resolution and resetting the computer to an earlier time each with no luck. both the monitor and computer are only a year old and 6 months ago i replaced the power supply. so is it my graphis card? the newly downloaded driver? the motherboard? can it be a virus? please help!!! thanks!!!

Sure does sound like the new driver. Newer drivers are seldom perfect. The programmers tend to fix one problem and add two more. I suggest that you restore (roll back) the old driver.
I never update software or drivers unless I have a good reason to do so.
