I have a HP Pavilion 6465 with V9.0 K56Flex modem (I believe). After I upgraded the OS to Windows XP from Windows ME, the system does not recognize the modem. I could not find a driver for XP on the Internet. Is there any available one, or I have to buy a new modem?

Did you do an actual upgrade or did you install XP from scratch? If you did an upgrade, there is a chance that something could have not carried over.

If at all possible I would suggest doing a clean install of XP. You would most likely need to know the brand of the modem to get the correct driver.

Hi,
Had a similar problem once with a vidio adapter driver.
Try going to your device manager and upgrade your driver , when it askes for yor drive, use the orriginal disk that came with the computer (ME),And you may be able to use the driver from their.
Also had the same problem when i upgraded a 98 machine to xp, Go to www.driverguide.com and look for a driver their.
Ive found most drivers ive ever needed here.

Look on the modem card for 2 rhings.
A part number whiched can be plugged into a search engine.
And
The maker of the chip on the card.

These are good places to start.
Xp didn't pick up on my ZOOM mosem either.
