I have a HP Pavilion 6465 with V9.0 K56Flex modem (I believe). After I upgraded the OS to Windows XP from Windows ME, the system does not recognize the modem. I could not find a driver for XP on the Internet. Is there any available one, or I have to buy a new modem?

Did you do an actual upgrade or did you install XP from scratch? If you did an upgrade, there is a chance that something could have not carried over.
If at all possible I would suggest doing a clean install of XP. You would most likely need to know the brand of the modem to get the correct driver.

Thanks for the reply, EKUTech. I installed Windows XP from scratch.

Look on the modem card for 2 rhings.
A part number whiched can be plugged into a search engine.
And
The maker of the chip on the card. These are good places to start.
