Hey all,
i just got a new gateway 820gm that came stock with 1gb 400mhz DDR ram. I have an old unused stick of 256mb PC2100 ram lying around and my question is - if i throw this into my machine, will the 400mhz ram run at the pc2100 speed (i.e. the lowest speed)? if so, i presume its probably not worthwhile to use this extra stick. what do you guys think?
