Windows refuses to load on my PC. When I start the computer, it tells me a file called "System32\DRIVERS\pci.sys" is missing/corrupt and windows is unable to load. It tells me to put in my original setup CD so I try to boot off the windows xp cd but while the setup is loading, it gives me an error 7 and says some file is missing and setup is unable to continue. I tried to get into my BIOS, but I can't even get into BIOS. When I press a key to get to BIOS, it just restarts and I keep getting the same message over and over again. Does anybody have any idea of whats happening and what I need to do to fix it?
NOTE: My computer used to run Windows Millenium but I reformatted it and installed xp instead. Also, the last time I turned on my computer before this started happening, I had installed a windows update and debugged my computer b/c it had a virus on it (the Welchia worm)
