Missing text under Icons in My Docs

Comment:
A friend had suddenly lost the text description beneath all icons and pics in Windows Explorer folders, so although he can still see the icons in My Docs and My Pics he can't tell one from the other without opening each one. Bugs me that I can't help. Anyone come across this one? Thanks.

If you have the view set to show Thumbnails do the following: Open the folder to see the thumbnails. Hold the Shift key down and click on the View button and select Details. Remove your finger from the Shift key. You now see file names. Hold the Shift key down and click on the View button and select Thumbnails. You will now see thumbnails with file names under them.

Wow, That was amazing. I was looking at all the settings and nothing worked. My problem was that the names would not show when clicking on start, my pictures but would from Windows explorer. Thanks Dan.
