Hi, I have windows XP Pro and every time I start my computer my systray icons are missing as of about a couple of days ago. The “Hide inactive Icons \ Customize” Options are Grayed Out in the taskbar properties page. I can’t even minimize trillian without re-opening it even though it is running in the Task Manager. I think I may have been playing with gpedit.msc and I also have sp1 installed. Also there is no little expand icon next to the clock.

you've probably disabled the ablility to alter the systray in group policies. try and find what you tinkered with and reset it to it's original value.
