I recently had a virus that infected my system restore folder. In order tor emove the virus, I had to disable System Restore. I was able to do this by right-clicking My COmputer and checking the Disable box on the System Restore tab. After removing the virus, I went to try and re-enable System Restore. The tab doesn't show up anymore. I am logged in as an administrator- I'm guessing that is what allowed me to disable System Restore in the first place. Why won't the tab show up now- I am still logged in as an administrator, just as I was before. I tried reinstalling sr.inf- the tab is still not showing up. Any suggestions ? Thanks.

I went to that URL and followed the instructions. At the point at which I pressed the Start button to start the System Restore service, I got an Access Denied message and was not able to re-enable System Restore. Why, if I'm an Administrator, would I get an Access Denied message ? Thanks again for your help.
