Hi. I wonder if somebody know how i can fix the missing security center icon on my systray near the clock ? It seems to have vanished some weeks ago, and i can't get them back anymore. There is probably more icons missing too, but the 2 i need for now is windows update icon and security center icon. I'm using Sp2 on my windows xp home edition !

Security Center icon will appear in the taskbar systray only when there is a problem with either or all of (1) Firewall, (2) Automatic Updates, and/or (3) Virus Protection.

Exactly what I thought, the only related problem to the security center that I have encountered one time was the pallete to the left not displaying everything under Resources as in the "Change the way Security Center alerts me" being grayed out even though security services was enabled and started.
But it was nothing to worry about since stopping and starting the service brought it back.
If you ever run into the situation Where you open Control Panel, Security Center applet, and these three (Automatic Updates/Windows Firewall/Internet Options) icons are suddenly missing under the section Manage security settings, try the trick from the URL below.
