Hi

In the last few days ive posted two messages regarding problems i had with a DVD burner. Ive come on today and they are both missing from the list. I originally sent the first post 2 days back and reposted it yesterday under a new subject name. I dont know if they get deleted if the content of two posts are exactly the same, which they were.

Any help would be great

Did your question relate directly to XP operating system or was it more to do with hardware? If the latter then the moderator may have removed them for that reason. If the question is mostly hardware related then post in the general hardware forum.

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

And yes, duplicating posts will get both posts removed from the board.

If you find that you are not getting responses to a post then create a new post referring to the original (with a link) choosing different words to make the readers better understand what your problem is.
Apparently, either you did not explain the problem good enough so that someone could help you or did not provide enough viable information or nobody that viewed the post knew the answer to your problem. Sometimes you just need to wait for the right person to read the post.

Reposting will make it so nobody sees your problem.

On a side note...at least wait until your post drops to page two before you even think about continuing that thought in another post.
I come here almost every day and usually more than once per day. My IE History shows me which posts I have read and I usually start reading a couple of threads below where I left off from my previous visit.

Sometimes I have a different attitude or a different perpective on the day and will help on threads that I previously was not in the mood to assist with. Be it too many words and not enough time to explain the solution or whatever reason. This may very well be true for others whom tend to this board.

Hi TIM,

Also, if you're familiar with

The terms and rules for posting at CN,

your post won't get removed.
