Hi, I have a chaintech motherboard 6vta2, and I have already installed the latest version of the bios, so that shouldn't be the problem. But When I install xp on my 8 gig fat32 partition, it reaches the point where it reboots my computer. After the reboot, the setup doesn't continue, it just says "missing operating system" and stalls. I'm not sure why it does that, but if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it. I've already reformatted my harddrive many times, and reformatted the mbr as well. So everything is from scratch.

ok after it says that missing operating system reset ur pc. and enter bios .. change the boot drive from cd-rom to hdd (ur hard drive) it should go on installing the windows xp .. (keep the cd inside the cd-rom)
If I make it boot my C: drive first, it still gives me the message "missing operating system". I have a feeling it has something to do with the mbr, but I'm not sure what.
Yeah, I fixed the message. all I did was use fdisk and set my other partition to active. But I still can't boot xp. It stalls at verifying dmi pool data..
