I used to be able to right click on the desktop to create new text document, but now that item is missing. Any idea how to get it back?

Just talking about notepad.exe. At one time I could right click the desktop and one of the items was "create new text file here" but now is gone and wondered how to get it back. Possibly some registry problem.

Install TweakUI XP http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

After you run it, look for "Templates" in it's sidebar. You can then click the "Create" button and point Explorer to a blank Text file!

Hope this helps!
